Hi everyone, I've been offline most of the summer, working on Book 2, which is the sequel to Dear Mrs Bird. I'm not allowed to say anything about it, but I can say that lots of the characters are back and they're facing some more major challenges!
Meanwhile though, while I've been hiding away exciting things have been going on, and I'm really thrilled to say that the German version of Dear Mrs Bird is coming out in Germany next week (on Tuesday 25 September).
Liebe Mrs Bird has been translated by Silke Jellinghaus and is published by Rowohlt Verlag through their Kindler imprint. Rowohlt also publish British authors including JoJo Moyes, Natasha Solomons and Anna Hope and it is more than thrilling to be in their company.
This week a box of finished copies arrived here - I don't think I will ever get used to the feeling of seeing something you've written as a real, live book - and this one is gorgeous.

It's in hardback and has such a lovely, retro feel. Call me a bit sad, but I love that it has a ribbon book mark too!

I love the typeface for the title too. So now I am resurrecting my schoolgirl German and trying to read it....I'm not sure I'll be quite up to scratch for reading out loud in public though!
Anyway, if you're a German reader, I really hope you like it. You can order it via Rowolt's website , and it's on Amazon too. Vielen Dank und viel Spaß beim Lesen!
